Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Grenada for Mr. John William “J.W.” Abel, 77, of Grenada, who died on Friday, May 16, at his residence. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. The Rev. Zach Sanford and Dr. Jim Nunnelee officiated.
