Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood for Mrs. Margarette Helon Neville, 84, of Gore Springs, who died on Monday, Nov. 21, in Grenada. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Walthall. The Rev. Charles Compton will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Neville was born on Jan. 26, 1938, in Carroll County, the daughter of the late Howard Compton and the late Edna Weeks Compton. She retired from Heatcraft in Grenada and was a member of Unity Baptist Church in the Redhill Community in Montgomery County.
In addition to her parents, one son, Jessie James, and one daughter, Disney McGraw, preceded Mrs. Neville in death.
Survivors include, her husband, Quinton Neville of Gore Springs; one son, James Ray Swift of Millington, Tenn.; two daughters, Terie Pavatte (Tony) of Lakeland, Tenn., and Donna Renaldo (Buster) of Gore Springs; sister, Estelle Carpenter of Greenwood; 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
