Graveside services were held on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, in Woodlawn Memorial Park for Mrs. Fredonia Rose Litten Granholm, 92, of Grenada, who died on Wednesday, Dec. 22, in Greenwood. Dr. Jim Nunnelee officiated.
Fredonia was born on Aug. 12, 1929, in Grenada County, the daughter of Everett C. and Kate Conner Litten. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Grenada and faithfully taught Sunday school for more than 20 years. She enjoyed a long, successful career at AT&T, retiring as a supervisor after 32 years of service. It gave her great joy to make and sell her bread and goodies known as “MeMaw’s Bread.”
Her parents; her husband, Dorris Ray Granholm; one son, Ray Granholm, and eight siblings, preceded Fredonia in death.
Survivors include, one son, Ralph Granholm (Cecelia) of Grenada; one brother, Lawrence Litten (Betty) of Grenada; grandson, Eric Granholm (Tonja) of Nova Scotia, Canada; step grandchildren, Julia Richardson of Grenada and Brooke Simmons of Collierville, Tenn.; step great grandchildren, Josh Hopkins and Cole Hopkins; two nieces, Lois Gaskin (Don) of Grenada and Robbie Katherine Showalter of Reading, Pa.; nephew, Lawrence Litten Jr. of Grenada and great nieces, Anna Gaskin and Laura Gaskin.
Pallbearers were Dewitt Branch, Don Gaskin, Case Kimbrough, Lawrence Litten Jr., Ralph Litten and Chuck Provine.
