Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mrs. Linda Carolyn Wilson Edwards, 80, of Grenada, who died on Friday, Nov. 28. Burial followed in Elliott Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at McKibben and Guinn.
Linda was born on June 24, 1945, in Hattiesburg, the daughter of the late Rev. Thomas Edison Wilson and the late Valine Walters Wilson. She earned a degree in speech pathology and audiology from Delta State University. She retired as a speech therapist with the Montgomery County School District.
A devoted homemaker, she took great pride in making her house a home. She enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in all of their activities and also enjoyed cross stitching.
In addition to her parents, one brother, Thomas E. Wilson Jr., and a nephew, Chris Wilson, preceded Linda in death.
Survivors include, her husband, James R. “Bobby” Edwards; two sons, Tim Edwards (Misty) and Cory Edwards (Kelly), all of Grenada; one brother, Steve Wilson (Tiffany) of Brandon; sister-in-law, Emilia Wilson of Brandon and four grandchildren, Erica Edwards, Owen Edwards, Savannah Edwards and Kaylee Edwards.
Pallbearers will be Mark Harville, Richard Hood, Diesel Ludolf, Craig Morgan, Robby Roberts and Tyler Voyles.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
