Chad Crowe, a veteran of more two decades in the Midsouth Association of Independent Schools as a teacher, coach and administrator, was named the new Head of School for Kirk Academy Tuesday afternoon, according to Board President Chuck Rose.
Crowe takes over for Rob Shillito, who resigned in October 2025 to take the Head of School position at Starkville Academy.
“We are excited to have Chad Crowe as our new Head of School,” Rose said. “There were a number of quality candidates that we interviewed. At the end of day, Coach Crowe was our best candidate for the job. He has been here almost two years, serving as high school principal – he knows our students and our faculty. He will do an outstanding job of leading our school.”
Crowe is excited about his new position, which he will begin with the 2026-27 school year.
“I’m excited about the opportunity that the Board has entrusted to me,” he said. “I love Kirk Academy and I’m looking forward to keeping our school going in the right direction – providing a quality education in a Christian environment.”
Crowe is completing his second year as high school principal at the school, serving under Shillito. Prior to coming to Kirk, Crowe worked at Carroll Academy, serving as both elementary principal and Interim Head of School. His father, Jerry Crowe, coached football and served as Head of School at Leake Academy in Madden for more than two decades.
Crowe and wife, Brittany, have a son, Cullom, who is a junior at Kirk Academy.
