When I pulled my camera out to snap this picture, I was so caught up in the beauty of the flower that I missed the danger right in front of me. It wasn’t until I looked at the picture later that I saw a wasp hiding in the leaves.
Love can be the same way sometimes, especially young love. It’s easy to become absorbed by someone's good qualities and selectively ignore others. Don't let the positives you see in people completely overshadow their negatives, but don’t let the negatives eclipse their positives either. Be wise, widen your focus, and see the whole person for who he or she is.
