Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Winona for Gleda Yvonne Charlton, 75, of Vaiden, who died on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at her residence. Burial followed in Charlton Family Cemetery in Vaiden. The Rev. Bobby Palmertree officiated. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until service time on Sunday, Oct. 1, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Charlton was born on July 27, 1948, in Neshoba County, the daughter of the late Buford and the late Bobbie Fulton Williams.
In addition to her parents, one son, Russell Palmer, preceded her in death.
Survivors include, her husband, James Charlton of Vaiden; three daughters, Wendy Steed (Charles) of French Camp, Stacey Marlow (Kevin) of Vaiden and Kimberly Simpson (Barry) of Vaiden; two sons, Johnny Williams of Meridian and Jeffrey Palmer (Jamye) of Vaiden; sister, Debbie Penny of Bailey; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
