Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, at Providence Baptist Church for Mrs. Gladys Virginia Robison Coker, 72, of Grenada, who died on Saturday, Nov. 1, at her residence. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Dr. Joey Faulk will officiate. The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Monday, Nov. 3, at the church.
Ginnie was born on Oct. 31, 1953, in Shaw, the daughter of the late Clinton Ledell Robison and the late Georgia Parthina Hodges Robison. She spent most of her working life as a nurse’s aide and was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Ginnie was a skilled seamstress and also enjoyed crochet. She was a devoted wife and mother and held the title of “Meme” close to her heart as she loved being a grandmother and great grandmother to her beloved family.
In addition to her parents, one sister, Linda Faye Davenport, and one brother, Jackie Ledell “Bud” Robison, preceded Ginnie in death.
Survivors include, her husband, Donald R. Coker; three sons, Donald Clinton Coker (Dana) of Hernando, Joseph Bradley Coker (Becky) of Grenada and Wesley Bruce Coker (Samantha) of Southaven; five sisters, Faye Hardy of Philadelphia, Elaine Langston of Independence, Nettie Lindsey (Mike) of Independence, Rachel Robison and Kathy Easley (Terrence) of South Carolina; two brothers, Gene Hodges (Cathy) of Walls and George Robison of Clarksdale; seven grandchildren, Zack Orr (Tonia), Emily Carpenter (Ricky), Destiny Coker, Stelliana Coker, Angel Coker, Addi Jenkins and Noah Coker, and nine great grandchildren, Alex Englebert, Zack Englebert, Konner Orr, Jaxon Carpenter, Jayce Carpenter, Jasper Carpenter, Gunner Fleming, Kinsley Fleming and River Fleming.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Billy Brown, Ricky Carpenter, Ray Coker, Bobby Joe Cummins, Ethan Davis and Zack Orr.
