A family memorial service will be held at a later date for Frank M. Lankford, 70, of Duck Hill, who died on Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, in Oxford.
Frank was born on Dec. 29, 1952, in Grenada, the son of the late Avery Hemphill Lankford and the late Irene Marter Lankford. He worked for many years as a welder. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church in Grenada. Frank served in the Mississippi National Guard. He was a member of the RC Flying Club and loved flying radio-controlled planes. He was also a Ham radio operator and he enjoyed talking to contacts around the country.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Margaret Henderson Lankford, and one sister, Judy Clanton and her husband, Larry, preceded Frank in death.
Survivors include, one sister, Pat Tuberville and her husband, Donald, of Grenada; stepson, Stephen Henderson of Grenada; niece, Angela Clanton of Gore Springs; nephews, Melvin Clanton of Starkville and Ben Clanton of Memphis, Tenn.; three step grandchildren, Ashley Henderson of Kentucky, Matthew Henderson of Grenada and Faith Ludolf and her husband, Henry, of Grenada; one step great grandchild, Colton Ludolf, and one step niece, Brandy Butler of Grenada and her children, Seth Butler of Grenada, Kayla Butler of Oxford and Cayden Mitchell of Grenada.
