Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, in New Hope Cemetery in Winona for Faye Melton Bennett, 91, of Vaiden, formerly of Duck Hill, who died on Sunday, Sept. 10, in Vaiden. The Rev. Joseph Sansing will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday, Sept. 15, at Oliver Funeral Home of Winona.
Mrs. Bennett was born on Feb. 8, 1932, in Carroll County, the daughter of the late James and the late Louise Lowery Melton. She was a member of Mission Baptist Church located near Winona.
In addition to her parents, her husband, James Lesley Bennett, and one son, Daniel Bennett, preceded Mrs. Bennett in death.
Survivors include, her daughters, Patricia Vance of Winona, Sharon Shirley (Michael) of Duck Hill and Wanda Mullen of Winona; one son, James Melton Bennett of Duck Hill and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
