Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022, at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Charleston for Eva Duke Rideout, 81, who died on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, in Charleston. Burial followed in New Hope Presbyterian Cemetery. Bro. Truman Scarborough officiated. Visitation was held one hour prior to service time on Thursday, Nov. 3, at the church.
Mrs. Rideout was born on April 30, 1941, in Coahoma, the daughter of the late James Ivy Duke and Mattie Everett Duke. She was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include, her husband of 53 years, Jamie Rideout; sons, Alan Duke, Jason (Misty) Rideout and Brian Rideout; brother, Jim (Georgene) Duke, and five grandchildren.
