Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mr. Richard Brooks Perry, 66, of Grenada, who died on Sunday, Oct. 30, at his residence. Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery in Carroll County. The Rev. Jerry McNeer officiated. Family and friends gathered from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of the service on Friday, Nov. 4, at McKibben and Guinn.
Richard was born on Oct. 22, 1956, in Grenada, the son of the late Lonnie Lee Sr. and Mary Allene Hood Perry. He was a longtime employee of the City of Grenada Street Department and was of the Baptist faith. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents; two sisters, Susie Myers and Dorothy McDill, and three brothers, Francis Perry, Lonnie Perry Jr. and Billy Perry, preceded Richard in death.
Survivors include, one sister, Mary Ruth Perry Turnipseed of Grenada; one brother, Jimmy Perry (Rachel) of Grenada and a host of nieces and nephews.
