Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Miss Emily Gail Busby, 24, of Grenada, who died on Monday, May 29, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Arkansas. Burial followed in Holcomb Cemetery. The Rev. William Tribble and the Rev. Tim Winters officiated. Family and friends gathered from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday, June 5, at McKibben and Guinn.
Emily was born on May 14, 1999, in Grenada. She fiercely loved her family and will best be remembered as a free spirit who possessed many artistic abilities. She also had a deep love for animals and was always willing to help an animal in need.
Her mother, Morrissa Busby; grandfather, Morris Busby, and one aunt, Charity Greer, preceded Emily in death.
Survivors include, her father, Fred Dunn of Grenada; grandparents, Mary Busby and Joe Timbs of Duck Hill; three sisters, Summer Busby and Stormy Carroll, both of Duck Hill and Teresa Dunn of Grenada; two brothers, Jayden Busby of Duck Hill and Devin Dunn of Grenada; two aunts, Brandice Busby and Leigh Ann Wilkey (Brian) and a host of cousins.
Pallbearers were Riley Busby, Stormy Carroll, Devin Dunn, Dakota Greer, Dallas Greer and Ryan Pannell. Honorary pallbearers were Jayden Busby, Summer Busby, Teresa Dunn, Janice Edwards, Alex Englebert, Connor Englebert, Zack Englebert and Draken Greer.
