Funeral services were held at noon on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, at Hebron Baptist Church in Grenada for Elizabeth McKinney Everett, 80, of Grenada, who died on Monday, Sept. 25, with her children by her side. A private family burial followed in Oddfellows Cemetery. The Rev. Jimmy Hood officiated. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service on Thursday, Sept. 28.
Mrs. Everett was born on April 28, 1943, the daughter of the late Harry and the late Juanita McKinney. She spent her life serving others. She was a faithful servant to the Lord, her church, her family and friends. She enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Mrs. Everett spent many years serving at Hebron Baptist Church in many ways including teaching Sunday school, Bible studies and Bible schools. She had a heart for missions and served on countless mission trips both local and international. She instilled that love for missions in her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Lloyd Thomas Everett; one sister, Samantha Morris, and one son, Lloyd Thomas Everett Jr., preceded Mrs. Everett in death.
Survivors include, her children, Dean Bryant Jr. (Kay), Martha Falvey (Ronnie) and Linda Diane Bidwell; one sister, Mary Thweatt; 12 grandchildren, Daniel Bryant (Sarah), Kaitlyn Mullins (Kole), Kyle Bryant, Catherine Davis, Will Falvey, Brent Thomas, Randi Thomas, Lindsey Killebrew, Katie Bidwell, Rochelle Hilmer, Josh Everett and Brittany Burton and one great grandchild, Ronnie James Davis.
