Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mr. Dudley Melvin Windham, 94, of Grenada, who died on Saturday, Dec. 13, at his residence. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until service time on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at McKibben and Guinn.
Mr. Windham was born on May 13, 1931, in Leflore, the son of the late Otho Windham and the late Ida Blakely Windham. He was a faithful member of Leflore Baptist Church and honorably served his country in the United States Army Reserves.
Dudley dedicated more than 36 years of his working life to Cooper Tire where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependability. Following retirement, he found great joy in maintaining his farm in the Providence Community. He especially took pleasure in cutting timber from his land and milling it himself with the sawmill he operated on his property. Many family members were blessed by his generosity through the lumber he provided for their own construction projects.
A man of deep faith, Dudley Windham was known for his integrity — his word was truly his bond. He leaves behind a tremendous legacy reflected in the lives of his beloved family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, three brothers, Vernon Windham, William “Bill” Windham and Paul Windham, and his sisters, Azileen Rayburn, Barbara Nail and Sue Dogan, preceded Dudley in death.
