The Grenada Food Pantry’s monthly Distribution Day is scheduled for this Saturday, Dec. 16, and organizers are enlisting the help from any and all volunteers.
Kim McRee, one of the directors of the Food Pantry, said volunteers are needed for Distribution Day, which will be held from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m., however, volunteers will be needed from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. Volunteers are also needed from 9 a.m. until noon this Thursday, Dec. 14, for bagging groceries.
The Grenada Food Pantry is located next to the Grenada Police Department and City Auditorium. Handicapped recipients are asked to drive through Green Street. For all others, please enter through the entrance on Main Street.
All recipients MUST have the 2023-24 ID card. If they do not have one, they must recertify, according to McRee.
