Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Winona for Chris Hodges Amason, 64, of Winona, who died on Sunday, March 10, in Germantown, Tenn. Burial followed in New Hope Church Cemetery in Winona. The Rev. Bob Cannizzaro officiated. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, at First Baptist Church in Winona.
Chris was born on Dec. 27, 1959, the daughter of the late James “Doc” and the late Nan Beach Hodges. She was a member of New Hope Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, one sister, Kathy Bailey, and one brother, Ned Clark Jr., preceded Chris in death.
Survivors include, her husband, Walter Amason of Winona; daughters, Crystal Whitfield (Shane) and Brittany Lunceford (John), all of Saltillo; three sisters, Linda Westmoreland, Selena Simmons and Sam Hodges; one brother, Don Clark; four grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
