Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Ms. Annie Kay Crigler, 75, of Grenada, who died on Sunday, May 22, in Grenada. Burial followed in the Spradling Family Plot in Bruce Cemetery. The Rev. J. Barry Worrell officiated.
Kay was born on Oct. 25, 1946, in Calhoun County, the daughter of James and Nadine Newman Spradling. She owned and operated Winona Rent to Own and The Movie Store in Winona during her working life. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She loved doing yardwork and working in her flowerbeds.
Her parents and two sisters, Martha Ann Bingham and Nancy Spradling, preceded Kay in death.
Survivors include, her daughters, Teresa Jackson (Robert), Lisa Jordan (Monte) and Jackie Box (Robert), all of Grenada; four sisters, Yvonne May and Peggy McCord, both of Bruce, Carolyn Murphree of Olive Branch and Polly Lee of Water Valley; six grandchildren, Ariel Jordan, Morgan Thompson (Weston), Peyton Box (Emma), Will Jordan, Robbie Jackson and Annie Box and three great grandchildren, Saylor Brasher, Cooper Thompson and Willow Jordan.
Pallbearers were Peyton Box, Robbie Jackson, Will Jordan, Ruben May, Ray Murphree and Weston Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Emmanuel Baptist Church.
