Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Winona for Mrs. Alice Marie Duncan Blakely, 76, of Winona, who died on Saturday, Sept. 23, in Hattiesburg. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. The Rev. Eddie Hollowell officiated. Visitation was held one hour prior to services on Saturday, Sept. 30, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blakely was born on Oct. 1, 1946, in Oklahoma, the daughter of the late George Travis and the late Vera Mae Smith Duncan. She attended North Winona Baptist Church and Eskridge Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Homer Ed Blakely; one son, David Travis Blakely; two sisters and one granddaughter, preceded Mrs. Blakely in death.
Survivors include, her daughter, Cheryl Marie Bell of West Plains, Mo.; three sons, Homer “Ed” Blakely Jr. of Winona, Jerry C. Blakely of Grenada and James C. Blakely of Winona and her brothers, Lonnie Duncan and Doug Duncan, both of Oklahoma City, Okla.
