Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mr. William Coleman “Bill” Beck, 59, of Columbus, who died on Saturday, July 13, at his residence. Burial will follow in the Beck Family Plot in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in the Jefferson Community of Carroll County. Dr. Shawn Parker will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday, July 16, at McKibben and Guinn.
Bill was born on Aug. 4, 1964, in Winona, the son of Charles Coleman and Joyce DeLoach Beck. He was a graduate of Holmes Community College. He enjoyed a career spanning more than 40 years in the farm and agricultural equipment business. His work began at Grenada Equipment and culminated when he retired in 2023 as manager of Wade, Inc., in Columbus. He was a member of First Baptist Church — Columbus.
His father, Charles Coleman, preceded Bill in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Lynne Crawford Beck; daughter, Kathryn Beck Swain (Coleman) of Columbus; son, Austin Crawford Beck of Waynesboro; mother, Joyce DeLoach Beck of Grenada; brothers, Ray Beck (Kathy) of Grenada and Danny Beck (Patty) of Carrollton, and the family is anxiously anticipating the arrival of twin girls in September 2024, Mary Collins Swain and Lela Beck Swain.
Cooper Beck, Jeb Beck, Mathis Beck, Noah Beck, Steve Clark and Shawn Snellings will honor Bill by serving as pallbearers and carry him to rest in the Liberty Cemetery. Ray and Danny Beck will honor their brother by serving as honorary pallbearers.
