Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025, in Cambridge Cemetery near Abbeville for Mrs. Willene A. Bray, 71, of Grenada, who died on Friday, April 25, in Grenada.
Willene was born on Dec. 17, 1953, in Pine Bluff, Ark., the daughter of the late Paul and the late Willie Mae Watson Black. A devoted mother, Willene enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking delicious meals for them. She especially cherished the times she got to watch her great grandchildren participate in all of their activities. She was a diehard Ole Miss fan.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Bill Bray; her daughter, Shay Bray Gillon; her sister, Vicki Black, and one brother, Darren Black, preceded Willene in death.
Survivors include, her sons, Jonathan Bray of Greenville and Jason Bray of Grenada; one brother, Paul Black of Pine Bluff, Ark.; three grandchildren, Chelsea Slaughter, John Gillon and Andrea Bray and four great grandchildren, Adalyn Slaughter, Brock Slaughter, Olivia Adams and Bryson Adams.
