Police are investigating a shooting that left multiple people injured on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, in Grenada.
Authorities said officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 800 block of Rayford Street, where three people were reportedly shot. The victims were taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center-Grenada, where law enforcement officers remained later that afternoon as the investigation continued.
According to early information, at least two of the victims were being stabilized to be airlifted to another medical facility for treatment. The conditions of all three individuals remain unknown.
As of Monday, the Grenada Police Department has not released details about the shooting, including the circumstances leading up to the incident or whether any suspects have been identified.
The Rayford Street shooting is the latest in a series of violent incidents reported in Grenada over the past several months, adding to growing concern among residents about gun violence in the area. Police have not said whether the Dec. 27, shooting may be connected to other recent incidents. On Dec. 9, 2025, a shooting on Cherry Street left an 18-year-old teenager injured after being struck by bullets in each leg.
Officers have asked anyone with information about the shooting to come forward as the investigation remains ongoing. The department has not disclosed how many shell casings were recovered or what type of firearm may have been used in the attack.
Residents near the scene reported hearing several gunshots that afternoon, though police have not confirmed how many rounds were fired.
