A memorial service will be announced at a later date to honor the life of Tenia Lynn Rowland, 62, of Grenada, who died peacefully on the morning of Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, in Grenada.
Tenia was born on Jan. 9, 1963, in Grenada, the daughter of the late Wallace Milton Dunn Sr. and the late Faye Dunn. A woman of strong faith and devotion, Tenia’s commitment to her church was at the heart of who she was. Raised in the Church of God of Prophecy, she later became a dedicated member and poured her heart into serving others. Her deep faith was matched only by her resilience, strength and fierce independence. She modeled these qualities to her daughters and helped shape them into strong, compassionate and self-sufficient women, much like she was.
While Tenia took immense pride in being a mother, it was the role of Mimi that truly brought her the greatest joy. She loved her grandchildren and went out of her way to make them feel loved when they were with her.
Beyond her immediate family, Tenia was a beloved sister, aunt and friend. She shared a deep and enduring love for her siblings. Her nieces, nephews and their children always felt cherished and supported by her. Tenia had a gift for making everyone around her feel special and valued, leaving a lasting imprint on the hearts of all who knew her.
Tenia will be remembered as a devoted Mama, Mimi, sister, aunt and a woman of faith whose strength, grace and unconditional love will continue to inspire all that were fortunate to know her.
In addition to her parents, one brother, William Jeffrey “Jack” Dunn, welcomed Tenia in heaven.
Survivors include, her daughters, Jessica Hambrick of Enid and Brandi Ratliff of Brandon; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kaitlyn, Brooklyn, Maddox and Sophie; her siblings, Wallace Dunn Jr., Lisa Lindley (Bill) and Amanda Cook, all of Grenada; one sister-in-law, Teresa Dunn of Spring Hill, Tenn., as well as her nieces, nephews, cousins and their families, all of whom she loved dearly.
Though Tenia will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, faith and a fighting spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
