Tupelo eases past Grenada Chargers

Grenada High School head football coach Ashley Kuhn knew his team’s margin for error was small last Friday when they opened Class 6A, Region 2 play at Tupelo. The Chargers and Golden Wave met on the gridiron for the first time in six years.

Kirk JV blasts Oak Hill

The Kirk Academy junior varsity Raiders got used three touchdown runs from Noah Jackson cruising to a 36-0 home win over Oak Hill Academy of West Point last Thursday.

With the win, Kirk improves to 3-2 on the season. The Kirk Pee Wee team made it a sweep with a 20-8 win over the Clay County Raiders.

Kirk Academy girls soccer blanks St. Joe

The Kirk Academy Raiderettes Soccer team hosted Greenville St. Joseph last week for Senior Night at Raider Field. It was the final home contest for seven girls as they won a 7-0 decision over the Lady Irish.

Kirk had goals from seven different players in a 7-0 decision to improve to 5-6 overall this season.
