The Kirk Academy Raiderettes Soccer team hosted Greenville St. Joseph last week for Senior Night at Raider Field. It was the final home contest for seven girls as they won a 7-0 decision over the Lady Irish.
Kirk had goals from seven different players in a 7-0 decision to improve to 5-6 overall this season.
Goals came from Mak Kendall, Emily Lane, Lexie Draper, Skylar Vance, Kaitlyn Greer, Molly Gibson and C.C. Brister.
“It was Senior Recognition Night and you always worried about the focus of your team,” Kirk Coach Chris Wilkinson said. “I was pleased with the way we played. Rylee Smith and Lexie Draper had some of our best defensive games of the year in the game. The midfield seniors of Mary Wilkinson, Becca Byford, Gibson, and Greer were the standouts on defense.
Kirk was scheduled to host Indianola for the division championship at Raiderette Field Tuesday afternoon. Results were not available as of presstime Wednesday. A Kirk win by three goals gives them the division title and top seed in the postseason.
