Chargers, Lady Chargers play crucial 6A, Region 1 Tournament games Friday

It’s do-or-die this afternoon for both the Grenada High School Chargers and Lady Chargers as both teams face Oxford in the consolation round of the Class 6A, Region 1 Tournament hosted by Tupelo High School. The winners move on to the opening round of the state tournament Monday for the girls and Tuesday for the boys.

Raiderettes play Marshall in North AAAA semifinals Friday in Batesville

The Kirk Academy Raiderettes and Marshall Academy Lady Patriots will meet today at 4 p.m. in the semifinals of the North Class AAAA Tournament at North Delta School in Batesville. There is a lot at stake in the contest with the winner punching a ticket to Saturday’s championship game.
