Holcomb's Sullivan jailed on various drug charges

A Grenada County man is behind bars after being arrested last week on drug charges.

According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Michael Sullivan of Holcomb was arrested on Jan. 23, by CCSO deputies. One of the drugs Sullivan was allegedly in possession of is not common to the area.

Raiderettes basketball coach Chastain resigns

NWS issues Winter Weather Advisory for Grenada County

Grenada County is one of more than a dozen northwestern Mississippi counties currently preparing for winter weather conditions.

The National Weather Service out of Jackson issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Grenada and Leflore counties, including the cities of Grenada and Greenwood, just before 4 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 2.
