Lady Chargers drop game to unbeaten CCHS

Off to one of the best starts in school history, the Grenada Lady Chargers closed the first half of their schedule on

Dec. 18 with a trip to Cleveland Central.

The teams entered the game with a combined 22-1 record. Cleveland Central used a strong defensive effort, limiting GHS to just 24 points in a 45-24 decision.

Kirk JV teams pick up wins

The Kirk Academy junior varsity girls team had a perfect 3-0 week recently with wins over Marshall Academy, Delta Academy and North Delta.

With the wins, Kirk improved to 11-4 on the season. Meanwhile, the boys went 2-1 to improve to 5-7.

Top Offensive Player
Grenada High School senior receiver and Mississippi State University signee capped his career by being recently being named as the Most Valuable offensive in Class 6A, Region 1 as he finished with 54 receptions for 899 yards and 13 touchdowns. Cotton makes the reception during this year's Homecoming win over Olive Branch.
