Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Miss Sherry Lynn Rogers, 69, of Grenada, who died on Monday, Dec. 15, at her residence. Burial followed in Shiloh Cemetery in Big Creek. The Rev. Chuck Provine officiated. The family received friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday, Dec. 20, at McKibben and Guinn.
Miss Rogers was born on July 30, 1956, in Grenada, the daughter of the late Jimmy and the late Alene Reynolds Rogers. She was a graduate of Grenada High School and went on to earn both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Mississippi State University. She devoted 30 remarkable years to the Memphis City School System as a psychometrist where she enriched the lives of countless students and left a lasting impact through her dedication to education.
Sherry had a special love for cats and cared for many feline companions throughout her life, treating each as a beloved member of her family. She was also an avid gardener who found joy and peace tending to her flowers. A woman of strong faith, Sherry possessed a deep love for the Lord Jesus Christ and was a lifelong member of Hebron Baptist Church.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include, two brothers, Jimmy Rogers II (Rhonda) of Holly Springs and Barry Rogers (Carla) of Grenada; nieces and nephews, Adrienne Estes (Matt), Kyle Rogers (Kimberly), Jessica Rogers, Brittany Carter (John) and Alex Rogers, as well as a host of great nieces and nephews.
