A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Ms. Sharon Felker Jackson, 62, of Tupelo and a Grenada native, who died on Sunday, Nov. 13, at her residence. The Rev. J. Barry Worrell will officiate. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, at McKibben and Guinn.
Sharon was born on Nov. 16, 1959, in Jena, La., the daughter of the late Paul Guy and Marianne Felker. She had spent most of her working life in banking. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, artwork, reading and gardening. While she enjoyed many hobbies, spending time with her girls and her grandchildren was what she cherished most.
Sharon was a lifelong Christian and was of the Baptist faith. She will be forever remembered for her ability to light up a room with her smile and her vibrant personality.
Survivors include, her daughters, Audrey Dale Ethridge (Brandon) of Tupelo, Cortney Dean McCown (T.J. Martindale) of Columbus and Robin Wells (James) of Foxworth; sisters, Denise Ramos of San Antonio, Texas, Verute Peterson of Tupelo and Birute James of Denver, Colo.; brothers, Guy Felker of Louisiana, Mike Felker of Duck Hill and Johnny Felker of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Brenton Ryals, Brooks Ethridge, Bradlee Marianne Ethridge, Declan Wells and Lachlan Wells and her best friend and companion, John McCown.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada.
