The family received friends from noon until service time on Friday, Oct. 11, at McKibben and Guinn.
RoseAnn was born on Dec. 7, 1940, in Holcomb, the daughter of the late Archie R. Dunn and the late Lila Thompson Dunn. She was a lifelong resident of Holcomb and a lifelong member of Holcomb Baptist Church where she married the love of her life, Glen Norris Taylor, on Nov. 8, 1959. They enjoyed 65 years together.
RoseAnn grew up milking cows alongside her Daddy and continued her love of the country farm life alongside her husband, Norris. They worked tirelessly together on their farm, Rosewood Ranch, to build a good life for their family. She started her working career after high school in the Grenada County Chancery Clerk’s office when a young man named Norris Taylor walked in on the day he returned home from the Army. They married that same year. She worked as a bookkeeper at Binswanger Mirror and Poor House Water Association, but her main vocation was as a devoted homemaker and mother at which she excelled.
In addition to her parents, her brother, Archie R. Dunn Jr., and one of her beloved sons, Glen Alan Taylor, welcomed RoseAnn into Heaven.
Survivors include, her husband, Glen Norris Taylor; her greatest blessings, her children, daughter, Cathy Haltom (Bill) of Holcomb, and her son, Scott Taylor of Holcomb; her cherished grandchildren, Drew Haltom (Laura) of Memphis, Tenn., and Taylor Haltom (Morgan) of Mobile, Ala.; five adored great grandchildren, Graham Robert, Henry “Hank” Alan, Judith “Jude” Rose, Margaret “Mae” Lee and Annette “Annie” Cate, and her sister, Lucille Dunn Steele of Greenwood.
Drew Haltom, Taylor Haltom, Saxton Haltom, Wayne Taylor, Garrett Taylor and Josh Taylor honored RoseAnn by serving as pallbearers and carried her to rest in Sparta Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Holcomb Baptist Church in Holcomb, Miss.
