Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, at First Apostolic Church for Mr. Robert Edwin “Bob” Johnson, 77, of Grenada, who died on Thursday, Nov. 6, at his residence. Burial with full military honors followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. The Rev. Adelbert Adcock officiated.
Bob was born on Dec. 11, 1947, in Lambert, the son of the late Robert Edwin Johnson Sr. and the late Gene Johnson. He honorably served our country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and earned the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two stars and Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Bob worked for several years in the boiler room at Weyerhaeuser in Bruce and was an active and devoted member of the First Apostolic Church in Grenada. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, his beloved wife, Shelia Johnson, preceded Bob in death.
Survivors include, his daughter, Tammy Winter of Grenada; four grandsons, Joseph Nathaniel Johnson, Cameron Kyle Winter, Zackery Landon Winter and Robert Cory Winter; seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to his grandsons, Leslie Lee and Andrew Welch served as pallbearers.
