A Celebration of Life Service will be held at noon on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at Christ Community Church for Mr. Richard Raymond Deussen, 69, of Grenada, who died on Monday, Nov. 7, at his son’s residence. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Rick was born on June 9, 1953, in Detroit, Mich., the son of the late John and Alice White Deussen. He owned and operated his own carpet cleaning business for a number of years. He was blessed to have had a life-changing experience with Jesus Christ and enjoyed worshiping Him with other believers at Christ Community Church in Grenada.
In addition to his parents, one brother, David Deussen, preceded Rick in death.
Survivors include, his son, the Rev. John Goldwater (Sara) of Grenada; daughter, Korrie Deussen of New York; sister, Sis. Mary Michael of Round Top, N.Y.; brother, Mike Deussen of Port Huron, Mich.; four grandchildren, Josh Goldwater, Levi Goldwater, Alison Goldwater and Anna Goldwater; one niece; two nephews; a special friend, Alicia Applewhite of Grenada, and a host of friends that were more like family that he loved and was loved by at AA.
