Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mr. Richard Allen “Dicky” White, 58, of Grenada, who died on Sunday, Dec. 8, in Memphis, Tenn. Burial followed in Elam Cemetery near Coffeeville. Pastor Damon Tipton officiated. The family received friends from noon until service time on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at McKibben and Guinn.
Dicky was born on May 4, 1966, in Greenwood, the son of the late Richard and the late Davine England White. He married his soulmate, Teresa, on June 21, 1984. Dicky was a hard-working, distinguished business owner for more than 40 years. He enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and spending as much time as he could with his children and family.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Teresa White, and one sister, Rebecca Brewer, preceded Dicky in death.
Survivors include, his daughter, Nicole Barksdale (Rodney) of Grenada; son, Keith White of Grenada; four sisters, Jeanne Wheeler of Grenada, Patricia Taylor (Curtis) of Houma, La., and Jennifer White and Dawn White, both of Grenada; brother, Danny White of Grenada and two grandchildren, Dakota Barksdale and Lindsey Barksdale.
Pallbearers were Bobby Atkins, Gary Cunningham, Marshall Harris, David Maycock, Curt Pollan and Danny White Jr.
