Please pray for all school students, especially the little children who are experiencing their first year of big school, teachers, administrators and all faculty that work for the school system. Be kind to each other. If you are riding a bus, respect your bus driver. Your life as well as others is in their hands. Make it easy for him or her. I pray you all have a great year!
Visiting with us Saturday was our friend, Larry Franklin of Hardy.
Mali Jarrell and Shelia Jackson left July 2, going to Knoxville, Tenn. to stay with her sister, Liz and Bev Thurman, Steve, Grace and Benji Thurman for a few weeks. Debbie Hayles came up July 27, and now they are heading home. Liz and Bev are Debbie’s parents.
Sadie Harper had a fever and virus for four days. Hopefully she is on the road to recovery. Their son, Ed Harper of Indianapolis, Ind. came home for a weeks visit. Sadie and Milton were so happy to see him. All three kids were here and they took Sadie to Cracker Barrel for her birthday dinner. The manager and servers brought a cake and ice cream out and sang happy birthday to her. It was very nice. Her sister, Betty Mayes, met them there and they celebrated her birthday, too. She turned 82.
Friday, July 29, was the hubs birthday. Donna and I stopped by the Sweet Potato Bakery in Bruce on our way home from Caledonia and I bought him a sweet potato cream cheese pecan pie. Donna brought a birthday cake and ice cream up and I fixed hamburgers, his orders, with a few extra foods. We had a good time eating, laughing and talking. I pray you have many more birthdays!

She and her grandson, Josh Harrison, had a great time at Picking and Singing last Tuesday night and wow, he sure sang and picked! It does her heart good to watch him.
