Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Elam Cemetery in Coffeeville for Peggy Jean Harbin Wright, 80, of Grenada, who died on Thursday, April 21, in Grenada. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Mortimer National Funeral Home in Grenada.
Peggy was born on Aug. 28, 1941, in Calhoun City, the daughter of the late William Newton Harbin and Ruthie Leona Walker Harbin. She was employed by Pennaco Hosiery Mill in the Gusseting Department until her retirement. She attended Elam Baptist Church in Coffeeville.
Her parents; her husband, Isaiah Thomas “Red” Wright; three sisters, Norma Avery, Ella McNatt and Dorothy Duke, and three brothers, Rufus Harbin, Donald Harbin and Carl Harbin preceded Peggy in death.
Survivors include, her daughters, Tracey Alexander (Steve) of Vicksburg and Linda Logan (Doug) of Coffeeville; one sister, Margie Crocker of Grenada; five grandchildren, Hayley McDaniel, Matthew Boyd, Blake A. Logan, Blake Logan and Marisa Logan and four great grandchildren, Olivia McDaniel, Everette McDaniel, Elizabeth McDaniel and Roman Mayhan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
