Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021, at Kilmichael Baptist Church for Mr. William R. “Billy” Johnson, 73, of Winona, who died on Thursday, June 17, at his residence. Burial followed in Winona Garden of Memory. Dr. David Sartin officiated.
Mr. Johnson was born on Jan. 16, 1948, to James William and Alberta Davis Johnson. He was a member of the Kilmichael Baptist Church.
His parents; his wife, Ilene Marie Fontaine Johnson, and brother, David Wayne Johnson, preceded Mr. Johnson in death.
Survivors include, his daughter, Tammy Johnson Inmon (Shane) of Carrollton; sons, James Robert Johnson (Brenda) of Independence, Aaron Ray Johnson (Elizabeth) of McCool and Gary Wayne Shields (Amanda) of Mathiston; sister, Patsy Conlee of Horn Lake; brothers, James “J.J.” Johnson and Jimmy Johnson of Southaven; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Kilmichael Baptist Church, 205 N. Rutherford Dr., Kilmichael, MS 39747.
Oliver Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
