Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mr. Wyomman A. Reeves Sr., 81, of Holcomb, who died on Monday, May 1, at his residence. Burial followed in Holcomb Cemetery. The Rev. John Goldwater officiated. Family and friends gathered one hour prior to the service time on Thursday, May 4, at McKibben and Guinn.
Wyomman was born on Feb. 18, 1942, in Yalobusha County, the son of the late Clarence and the late Earl Kay Brewer Reeves. He spent most of his working life as a foreman at Heatcraft in Grenada, retiring with 42 years of service. He was a devoted member of Christ Community Church in Grenada. He was also a member of the Holcomb Lions Club. Wyomman enjoyed singing and worshiping the Lord with fellow believers. He also enjoyed spending time working in his yard and gardening.
In addition to his parents, his daughter, Angie Reeves; one son, Jeffery Reeves; his sister, Josephine Waldo, and one brother, Clarence Reeves Jr., preceded Wyomman in death.
Survivors include, his wife of 59 years, Sarah Reeves; one son, Wyomman Reeves Jr. (Michelle) of Holcomb; one brother, Henry Reeves (Alice) of Coffeeville; three grandchildren, Kelsey Braswell, Kaitlyn Bennett and Catherine Fisk, and two great grandchildren, Lillian Braswell and Aria Fisk.
Matt Payne, Mickey Reeves, Tony Reeves, Caleb Whites, Josh Whites and Woody Whites honored Wyomman by serving as pallbearers and carried him to rest in Holcomb Cemetery.
