Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mrs. Virginia Dell Suiter White, 73, of Grenada, who died on Sunday, May 21, at her residence. Burial followed in Oddfellows Cemetery in Grenada. Dr. Jim Nunnelee officiated. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Thursday, May 25, at McKibben and Guinn.
Virginia was born on May 8, 1950, in Grenada, the daughter of Earl and Mattie Pearson White. She worked for a number of years in the research department at Sunburst Bank and also at BellSouth and Dolly’s. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Grenada and enjoyed shopping and fishing. Virginia treasured every moment she was able to spend with her children and grandchildren, and will be missed for many years to come.
Her parents preceded Virginia in death.
Survivors include, her husband, Thomas White; daughters, Natalie Montague (Sean) of Little Rock, Ark., Danielle Garton (Jake) of Vicksburg, Kimberly Suiter Martin (Brian) of Washington, D.C., and Stacey Suiter Strain of Ridgeland; her son, Justin White (Mary) of Vicksburg; 10 grandchildren, Josh White, Jacob White, Tanner Garton, Abby Garton, Jamie White, Seth Williams, Caroline Montague, Addison Carraway, Michael Montague and Hailey Williams and a special cousin, Karen Kennedy.
Tanner Garton, Michael Montague, Jacob White, Jamie White, Josh White and Seth Williams honored Virginia by serving as pallbearers and carried her to rest in Oddfellows Cemetery.
