A time of remembrance was observed from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mr. David Earl Geiger, 70, of Mobile, Ala., who died on Monday, April 24, in Mobile, Ala. Friends and family were welcomed and encouraged to share in this time of reminiscing and fellowship in honor of David’s life.
David was born on June 7, 1952, in Grenada, the son of the late James Thompson and the late Jewel Arlene Long Geiger. He had spent most of his working life in retail management. He was also an accomplished musician having been the drummer for the Sugar Cube Blues Band for many years.
In addition to his parents, one sister, Ann Geiger; one brother, Keith Geiger, and a nephew, Bryan Geiger, preceded David in death.
Survivors include, his sons, David Brooks Geiger of Orange Beach, Ala., James Casey Geiger of Seminole, Ala., Teddy Joe Massey of Oxford and Dennis Glenn Weaver of Oxford; two sisters, Linda Farmer of Grenada and Jane Rodgers of Brandon; one brother, Roy Geiger of Grenada and seven grandchildren, Evie Simonne Geiger, Korvyn Brux Geiger, Sara Grace Geiger, Austin Massey, Miley Massey, Dawson Weaver and Darian Jordan.
