Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, at St. Augustine Episcopal Church in Rhinelander, Wis., for Thomas “Tom” Joseph Clark, 75, of Grenada, who died on Friday, Nov. 8, peacefully at his residence surrounded by family. A luncheon well be held immediately following at St. Augustine — his family church. Family and friends are welcome to come and honor his memory.
Tom was born on Aug. 8, 1949, in Rhinelander, Wis., the son of the late Tom and the late Joyce Clark. He graduated from Rhinelander Union High School and grew up regularly attending church with his family at St. Augustine Episcopal Church, a tradition he continued throughout his years and up through his last days thanks to modern technology.
Tom spent his life dedicated to the people and values he held dear. His unwavering love for his family was the cornerstone of his life — he was a source of strength, support and laughter to his beloved wife, Berneice, with whom he shared 37 years of marriage, joy and adventure. Together, they explored the open roads in their RV, traveling to new places, making new memories and meeting new friends along the way.
After a few short years of retirement, Tom found joy in a new career as a charter bus driver where he not only transported passengers, but also brought them smiles, conversation and warmth along the way. His love for the road and the stories shared with his passengers were a treasured part of his life, as he made each journey more than just a destination.
Tom was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, friend to many and proud veteran, who served in the Army National Guard.
Survivors include, his wife, Berneice Clark; children, Pam (Randy) Sweet of Grenada, TJ (Leticia, Ashley) Clark of San Diego, Calif., and Heather (Chad) Carrigan of Lansing, Mich.; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren and siblings, Bob (Joan) Clark, Judy Beyer and Don (Julie) Clark.
