Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2022, in Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada for Ruth Nichols, 81, of Tillatoba, who died on Thursday, March 3, in Greenville. Visitation will be held from noon until service time on Sunday, March 6, at Mortimer National Funeral Home in Grenada.
Ruth was born on June 24, 1940, in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Albert C. Barrentine and Jessie Mae White Barrentine. She worked in retail and at one time owned and operated her own cleaning business. She was a member of Horseshoe Baptist Church in Tchula.
Her parents and three husbands, Ed Storey, Arthur McBride and Weldon Nichols, preceded Ruth in death.
Survivors include, her sons, Charles Storey (Stephanie) of Tillatoba and Richard Storey (Rachelle) of Senatobia; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
