A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mr. Richard Kevin Simmons, 58, of Grenada, who died on Friday, July 7, at his residence. Inurnment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery in Calhoun County. The Rev. J. Barry Worrell will officiate. Family and friends will gather 30 minutes prior to the service on Wednesday, July 12, at McKibben and Guinn.
Richard was born Oct. 10, 1964, in Greenwood, the son of the late Russell and the late Agnes Simmons. He was a graduate of Grenada High School and had worked for a number of years at Heatcraft in Grenada. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, three brothers, Jimmy Simmons, Bobby Simmons and Barry Simmons, preceded Richard in death.
Survivors include one brother, Rusty Simmons of Grenada and a host of nieces and nephews.
