Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Greater Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Gore Springs for Master Kingston “King” LaCharles Peeples, 10, of Gore Springs, who departed this life on Monday, June 19, in Jackson. Visitation was held from noon until 3 p.m. on Friday, June 30, at Clark-Williams Funeral Home.
Kingston was born on Jan. 17, 2013, in Grenada, the son of Isis Wright and Charles Peeples. He was an upcoming fifth grader at Grenada Upper Elementary School. He was an extremely outgoing child and enjoyed dancing, singing and rapping. He also enjoyed playing video games with his brother. Kingston was a beautiful soul with a loving heart and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include, his parents, Isis Wright of Gore Springs and Charles Peeples of Winona; six brothers, Princeton Wright and Khaza Tillmon, both of Gore Springs, and Charles Peeples, Lewis Peeples, Christin Peeples and Bentley Peeples, all of Winona; four sisters, Ma’Kija Fleming, Ah’Kurah Lewis, Allison Lewis and Armani Peeples, all of Winona; grandparents, Priscilla (Robert) Hardaway of Gore Springs, J.L. Wright, Linda (Henry) Wright and Charles Washington.
Clark-Williams Funeral Service in Grenada was in charge of the arrangements.
