Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mrs. Kathleen McCammon Boyett, 65, of Grenada, who died on Wednesday, July 12, at her residence. Private burial followed in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Kevin Tribble officiated. Family and friends gathered from 1 p.m. until the service time on Saturday, July 15, at McKibben and Guinn.
Kathleen was born May 19, 1958, in Big Creek, the daughter of the late Charles and the late Geneva Strife McCammon. She worked for many years as a cosmetologist in the Grenada area. She possessed a deep love for animals and treasured the time she spent with her pets. She also enjoyed shopping and attending Trade Days in Ripley. A devoted homemaker, Kathleen enjoyed canning vegetables during garden season each year.
Survivors include, her husband of 47 years, David Boyett; daughter, Ginger Grantham of Duck Hill; son, Daniel Boyett (Michelle) of Carrollton; sisters, Dorothy Turner of Grenada, Emma Collins of Grenada, Bonnie Redd of Booneville and Shirley Liles of Grenada; brothers, Dick McCammon of North Carolina and Buddy McCammon of Booneville; four grandchildren, Dakota Young (Claire), Chase Young (Madison), Dallas Boyett and Denver Boyett; three great grandchildren, Allie Young, Grant Young and Blakeleigh Young and a host of nieces and nephews.
