Joe Alva Johnson, 77, of Grenada, died on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024, at the State Veterans Home in Oxford. Per Joe’s wishes, there will be no funeral services and he will be buried next to his brother in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Okla.
Joe was born on May 19, 1947, in Tulsa, Okla., the son of the late Foy Eugene Johnson and the late Jimmie Lee Irby Johnson. He worked as a welder and electrician. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
In addition to his parents, one sister, Julia Gail Magness, his brother, Raymond Johnson, preceded Joe in death.
Survivors include, one sister, Evelyn Latting.
