Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Winona for Mr. James Robert Devine, 87, of Vaiden, who died on Saturday, March 19, in Winona. Burial will follow in Midway Cemetery in Vaiden. The Rev. Philip McRae, the Rev. David Westmoreland and the Rev. Rusty Keen will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, at the funeral home.
Mr. Devine was born on Feb. 3, 1935, the son of James Kimble and Eva Baskin Devine. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Vaiden Baptist Church.
His wife, Sammie Crain Devine, and daughter-in-law, Scarlett Jo Mitchell Devine, preceded Mr. Devine in death.
Survivors include, his daughter, Robin Devine Graves (Larry) of Starkville; son, Michael Stanley Devine of Vaiden; sister, Mable Daniel of Winder, Ga.; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Midway Cemetery, 49702 Hwy. 430, Vaiden, MS 39176.
