Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022, in Elam Cemetery near Coffeeville for Elisabeth D. Boxx, 70, of Farwell, Mich., who died on Saturday, May 7, in Mt. Pleasant, Mich.
Elisabeth was born on May 17, 1951, in Wuerzburg, Germany, the daughter of the late Robert R. and Bonnie (Braudt) Winner. She and her family moved to the Farwell, Mich., area from Mississippi 30 years ago. She had worked as a nursing aide in Mississippi and enjoyed playing bingo, eating Chinese food, tending to her flowerbeds, fishing and spending a lot of time at her favorite store, Goodwill, but most important to her was the time spent with her family.
Her parents; a granddaughter, Makayla; two siblings, Maria and Siegfried, as well as many lifelong friends preceded Elisabeth in death.
Survivors include, her children, William (Deonda) Bennett of Long Beach, Richard (Betty Jean) Bennett of Coffeeville, Jeremey Bennett of Coffeeville, Kenneth (Stephanie) Boxx of Houston, Texas, Margaret Boxx of Farwell, Mich., and Charlotte (A.J.) Kawalec of Clare; her significant other, James Harville of Farwell, Texas; siblings, Herman (Evelyne) Winner of Columbia, Tenn., Barbara (John) Wozinski of Tennessee and Jimmy Winner of Nashville, Tenn., and 15 grandchildren.
