Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Winona for Dorothy Grey Box, 93, of Winona, who died on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at her residence surrounded by family. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery. Dr. Tim Mims and the Rev. Jay Anderson officiated. Visitation was held from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, at Oliver Funeral Home of Winona.
Dorothy Grey was born on June 9, 1931, in Memphis, Tenn., and was adopted into the Pickens family by Grey and Johnnie “Dolly” Pickens. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Winona.
Her father, Robert Grey Pickens; her mother, Johnnie Ware Pickens, and her husband, Billy Box, preceded Dorothy Grey in death.
Survivors include, her two children, Mike (Carrie) Box and LeAnne (Steve) Lester, all of Winona; three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
