Memorial service plans are private for Mr. Donald Franklin “Donnie” Bell Sr., 73, of Grenada, who died on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, in Jackson.
Donnie was born on April 13, 1949, in Sledge, the son of the late Lawrence and Mary Annie Norris Bell. He spent most of his life as a truck driver and honorably served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Donnie was devoted to his family and enjoyed any time he got to spend with his grandchildren. Fond memories of Donnie will flood the minds of those who knew and loved him, and he will be missed for many years to come.
In addition to his parents, a daughter-in-law, Jessica Marter Bell, and four siblings, preceded Donnie in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Kathy Kite Bell; sons, Don Bell and Jonathan Bell, both of Grenada; six siblings, Darlene Winter, Alice Farrell, Eddie Bell, Milton Whatley, Wayne Bell and Lucille Stallings and two grandchildren, Janie-Claire Bell and Jackson Bell.
